She received a qualification as a specialist in Spanish dance from the Ministry of Education and La Escuela de Arte Dramático y Danza de Córdoba. She was asked to join one of Spain's most famous flamenco companies - El Ballet de Antonio Gades, with which she toured worldwide, performing Blood Wedding, Carmen, El Amor Brujo and Fuenteovejuna. Yolanda has also worked with many other prestigious flamenco companies including Cristina Hoyos, Manuela Vargas and Jose Greco. She shares her professional time between teaching in her home town of Tenerife and performing as an invited artist with different companies.
